What gynecological diseases affect pregnancy?

If there's no sign of a baby after a long time’s preparation, you should consider checking your health condition. There are some gynecological diseases can induce infertility. Therefore, you’d better treat these diseases in time.

1. Vaginitis. Experts point out that all kinds of vaginitis can cause infertility. The increase of vagina inflammatory secretions can affect sperm motility and penetration. If vaginitis is not treated timely, the spread of the infection can go up and infect the uterus and fallopian tube, causing endometritis and salpingitis, which affect ovulation, combination of sperm and eggs, and implantation, and then women will be hard to be pregnant.
2. Endometritis. Patients with endometritis may have more leucorrhea, and a large number of cells are in the secretion. After the sperm come into the uterine cavity, under the effect of bacterial toxins and leukocyte phagocytosis, its motility decreases, and number reduces, so the chances of pregnancy will go down, even may lead to infertility if severe. In addition, even if the fertilized egg is formed and the implantation is successful, endometritis may also affect the stability of implantation, which is easy to cause abortion.
3. Ovarian cysts. Ovarian cysts may damage the female endocrine balance, interfere with normal secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation, and even lead to menopause, cervical bleeding, and hypertrichosis. Especially if the ovarian cysts grow too fast and large, it will affect ovarian blood supply, blood circulation and ovulation, and then lead to infertility. If the ovarian cysts are malignant lesions, they will also destroy the large part of the ovarian endometrium, so the ovarian will be out of balance and unable to ovulation. It not only affects pregnancy, but also causes the surrounding endometrium occlusion, tubal obstruction, and even threatens life.
4. Uterine leiomyoma. The experts said that the infertility rate of patients with uterine leiomyoma is about 30-40%, which is higher than the rate of infertility in the general population (10%). If the patient's fibroids just plug the orifice of the cervix or the mouth of the fallopian tube, it will affect the sperm access. If the fibroids occupy the position of fertilized egg implantation, the fertilized eggs can’t become the fetus. Both situations will affect the female's conception.
5. Endometriosis. Some gynecologists point out that more than 40% of the patients with endometriosis are associated with infertility. The ectopic endometrium will change the environment in the pelvic cavity, which is not conducive to the combination of sperm and eggs, so the patient is unable to conceive. In addition, ectopic endometrium may cause organ adhesion and tubal distortion, resulting in problems with ovulation, fertilized eggs implantation and fertilized egg delivery, any of these problems may make it tough to get pregnant.

You should also pay attention to other causes of infertility, such as genital abnormalities, endocrine abnormalities, diabetes and obesity. Ask the doctor for help if you need.
