Many patients complain to me: “ doctor, I am infected with prostatitis.” leaving aside whether prostatitis will cause above symptoms and diseases, let’s check whether you get prostatitis first.
Prostatitis is an inflammation of prostate due to bacterial infection, which is a common disease in male genitourinary system, over 50% men once troubled by it. Prostatitis is classified into bacterial prostatitis and nonbacterial prostatitis, both with irritation symptoms like frequent and urgent urination, painful urination, even with atypical symptoms like abdominal pain, painful anus. Anxiety, depression, insomnia and memory loss may happen in serious conditions.
After my detail and professional explanation, some patients then know that they are far from prostatitis, let alone infertility. Mild prostatitis will disappear after several-day maintenance. Only the serious symptoms need medical treatments.
Prevention is more important than chronic prostatitis treatment. So smoking, drinking and spicy food should be limited because unhealthy habits may result in prostate congestion and swelling prostate. Meanwhile, Patients should restrain from sitting, urine-holding because poor blood circulation can cause prostatitis. In addition, people should drink more water.
