This is a very special case. Mr. Hawk had almost give up the treatment after he had just finished two months pills because no improvement was seen by that time.

He got two enlarged testicles diagnosed with orchitis when he emailed me on Oct 2012. He had been asking me over and over again regarding if the herbal pills can subside swell of his testicles. I told him, “Absolutely. Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill is highly effective in promoting blood circulation and dissolving stasis, swell can be subsided while the inflammation is treated. He wasn’t quite sure about the effectiveness of this herbal medicine before he read some of the reviews from my patients. Herbal medicine was still a very “mystery” treatment for him

  After taking the pills for one month he said “feel like the pills are freshing my body but the pain’s still there”. After two months he was a bit upset, “how come the pain’s not reducing ? There’s no improvement after I’ve finished two months pills, however you’ve been claiming that symptoms can reduce after one month. Do you think your pills are working on me? Maybe I should just live on antibiotics and painkillers! “

I wasn’t quit shocked. This was very rare but they did happen. I asked, “You feel no change at all or the pain just comes and goes? ”

I sort of got the point, he calmed down, said, “You’re right, they did reduced before but then they came back. I just feel almost the same as before when I’ve already taken two months pills. ”

I explained, “It’s expected to have some comes and goes before the condition is not completely cured, but this doesn’t mean the pills’re not working on you. Most people see improvement after one month pills, but this depends on individuals. Some may need more time. You’ve been feeling things, you know that. You just need my support, right?”

“So you think I should continue?” He asked. “Yes,” I was quite confident.

I got no news from him in the later two months. Then one day he emailed me showing his latest ultrasound report. The content is as below:

Left Testis/Scrotum
Testies is Ovoid in shape with smooth counter and homogenous echo texture. No focal lesion seen.
Epididymis seen, is hypoechoic elongated is about 54mm(50-65mm) in length, 31mm(27-33mm) in width, head of epididymis seen, is on upper pole of testies and looks normal, body of epididymis is situated laterally and tail is at lower pole of testies.  No epididymal cyst seen.
No appendicular testies seen.
Scrotal walls look normal, no scrotal lymph edema seen. No hydrocoele seen.

Right Testis/Scrotum
