Adenomyosis Requires Individualized Treatment Options
So far, there is no particular reason for adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is a diffuse or localized lesion of the endometrial glands and interstitial invasion of the myometrium, just like endometriosis, it belongs to common gynecological diseases and difficult diseases. It occurs mostly on delivery women aged 30- 50, but it also happens on young women who haven't given birth to babies. This may relate to over much hysteroscopic surgeries. And unfortunately, in recent years the incidence shows a younger trend. So, what symptoms indicate we could get Adenomyosis?

1. Menstrual disorders (40%~50% ), the main symptoms are prolonged menstrual bleeding, increased menstrual flow, some may have drip bleeding before or after menstruation, or worse, some get anemia.
2. Dysmenorrhea (25%), its character is dysmenorrhea secondary to progressive aggravation. It usually begins in the week before menstruation, and it is relieved when the menstrual period ends.
3. Others, no obvious symptoms.
Gynecological examination :
The uterus is often evenly enlarged, like a ball. Near the menstrual period, the uterus has a tenderness; during menstruation, the uterus enlarges, the texture becomes soft, and the tenderness is more obvious than usual; after the menstrual period, the uterus shrinks. The uterus often has poor adhesion to the surrounding rectum, especially the posterior rectum.

Mild-case patients can use painkillers. If analgesics are not helpful, and there are no fertility needs such as for premenopausal patients, it’s available to use false-pregnancy therapy - take oral contraceptives or progesterone can make ectopic endometrial decidualization and atrophy under control and slow down the development of adenomyosis.
Intrauterine devices can also be used. For those with heavy menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea and no fertility needs, they can choose an IUD with high-efficiency progesterone to control the development of ectopic lesions by releasing progesterone in the uterus. And it needs to be removed or replaced after five years.
However, since the device as a foreign body occupies a certain space in the uterine cavity, some women may feel uncomfortable because of it. And for people who have fertility requirements, they are supposed to choose conservative way which is natural treatment, such as TCM formula Fuyan Pill, pure herbal and the main ingredients are radix bupleuri, poria cocos, scutellaria baicalensis, gardenia, atractylodes macrocephala, and yam etc.

In TCM, radix bupleuri is used for its roots. It has the effect of bringing downfever, nourshing liver and relieving depression and promoting Yang. It is mainly used for exogenous fever and menstrual disorder. Poria cocos is excavated in autumn from July to September, with sediment removed after excavation, airing until the surface is dry, this procedure has to go repeated several times until wrinkles and most of the internal moisture is dispelled. They cut fresh poria according to different parts, dry in the shade, use it to refine the pills while retaining its original effect.
The properties of each plant are different, this requires a balanced ratio, scientifically customized to meet the demand of patients. Adenomyosis can be treated with drugs and surgical treatment, but the radical cure has to be pure natural with zero side effects, therefore, the choice of clinical treatment plan needs to be individualized according to the patient's age, symptoms and fertility requirements.
