What are the dietary therapies for epididymitis?

Dietary therapy one: mung bean, kelp, and rice porridge

Take 20 grams of kelp, 60 grams of mung beans, 40 grams of rice, and an appropriate amount of sugar. First, boil the kelp and mung beans in a pot, then add the rice to cook until it becomes porridge. Finally, add sugar and stir well. This method promotes circulation, reduces swelling, and dispels dampness, which is suitable for epididymitis caused by phlegm and dampness.

Diet therapy two: Pig trotter and mung bean soup

You will need 70g of mung beans, 15g of dried tangerine peel, and 400g of pig trotters. Wash all the ingredients clean, put the pig trotters in boiling water for 10 minutes and remove them. Put all the ingredients into a pot and simmer on low heat for 4 hours. Add seasoning to taste and take it three times a day. This method has the effects of nourishing yin, clearing heat, and detoxifying, suitable for orchitis caused by dampness and heat accumulation.

Diet therapy three: Tomato and Adzuki Bean Soup

You will need 1 fresh tomato, 150g of adzuki beans, 50g of black fungus. First, put the adzuki beans in a pot and cook for half an hour, then add the black fungus and cook until it is tender, then add the chopped tomato. This method promotes blood circulation and reduces swelling, which is suitable for epididymitis caused by blood stasis.

Diet therapy four: Chenpi and mung bean stewed pigeon soup

It requires two small pigeons, 60 grams of mung beans, 15 grams of Chenpi, 50 grams of raw Rehmannia, and 200 grams of lean pork. First, wash the raw Rehmannia and mung beans, clean the small pigeons and cook them in boiling water for 10 minutes, put all the above ingredients in a pot, boil over high heat and then simmer over low heat for 4 hours, add seasoning to taste, take twice a day and drink 200 grams each time. This method has the effects of detoxification, nourishing yang, clearing heat and promoting diuresis, and is suitable for testicular pain and erectile dysfunction caused by orchitis.

Diet therapy five: tender loofah porridge

It requires 150 grams of rice and 300 grams of tender loofah. First, peel and clean the loofah and cut it into pieces. Put the washed rice in a pot and cook it into porridge. Add an appropriate amount of seasoning and loofah when it is half cooked, and continue to cook for half an hour. This method has the effects of cooling blood, detoxifying, clearing heat, and promoting intestinal movement, which can assist in treating epididymitis and hemorrhoids with bleeding.

These dietary therapies are beneficial for relieving the symptoms of epididymitis. However, the treatment of epididymitis still requires medication. The herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill has a good therapeutic effect on treating prostatitis. It can eliminate inflammation and relieve symptoms like pain, discomfort, and frequent urination without harming the body.

In addition, one should avoid sitting for long periods, maintain a good lifestyle, exercise appropriately to improve physical fitness, and avoid holding urine. When there is a disease, timely treatment is necessary, and one should not delay seeking medical attention. It is essential to stay away from spicy and irritating foods and maintain a light and healthy diet.
