Does Epididymitis Affect The Kidneys?

Can epididymitis affect the kidneys? Before figuring this out, let's figure out what epididymitis is?

Epididymitis has several symptoms, such as congestion, edema, and pain in the epididymis of men, which are caused by a poor diet. It is divided into acute and chronic epididymitis, according to the book, The Course Of The Disease. And the epididymitis is mainly seen in young or middle-aged people. Epididymitis is divided into infectious epididymitis and non-infectious epididymitis. The primary manifestation of acute epididymitis will suddenly increase the patient's body temperature, swelling, and pain in the scrotum.

There is a sense of falling, which may lead to severe cases. The lower abdomen and groin are stretched and painful, and the pain will be significantly aggravated when the patient walks or stands. When the doctor examines, there is apparent tenderness in the epididymis. If the scope of inflammation is relatively large, there may be swelling of the testis.

Because of the boundary between the two, there may be unclear performance. Chronic epididymitis is more common in clinical practice and may be secondary to chronic prostatitis. And it also has specific damage to the prostate. Some chronic epididymitis may lead to the production of hydrocele. Injury, viral mumps, physical and chemical factors, and space-occupying diseases may also lead to epididymitis.

So does epididymitis affect the kidneys?

The answer is no. Epididymitis is caused by inflammation, sexually transmitted infection, urinary reflux, bacterial infection, and obstruction. The common pathogens are Escherichia coli, followed by staphylococcus enterococcus, etc. Epididymitis is a disease of the reproductive system. The kidney is an organ of the urinary system, and there are no relationships between them.

Some patients may suffer from epididymitis but have nephritis-related diseases. Does that mean that epididymitis will affect the kidneys? The answer is no because this situation is extremely rare, and different people will have various conditions. It cannot represent the whole through a single case. Clinically, epididymitis will not have complications of nephritis.

So how should epididymitis be effectively treated?

In Western medicine, epididymitis can be treated with anti-inflammatory antibiotics, such as quinolone or third-generation cephalosporins. If mycoplasma infection is considered, then tetracycline antibiotics can be selected.

Then, at the same time of treatment, it is recommended that patients avoid standing or walking for a long time and lie down and rest more, which is conducive to the subsidence of inflammation. Some epididymitis may be caused by tuberculosis infection and epididymal tuberculosis. The epididymitis can use anti-tuberculosis to treat. The drugs that have become anti-tuberculosis are isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide.

So for people who are not suitable for taking antibiotics, you can choose traditional Chinese medicine for treatment.

Herbal Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill has the main functions of clearing heat and dampness, promoting blood circulation, and removing stasis and drenching. The treatment of epididymitis has an excellent effect. It can kill Staphylococcus Aureus, Streptococcus Disease virus, etc. Moreover, it can smooth glandular tubes, eliminate toxins, promote gland function recovery, and achieve the effect of anti-inflammatory and pain relief. Compared with other treatment techniques, no operation, no bleeding, no pain, and effective treatment of epididymitis without complications.
