Tubal blockage: incidence, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment

Tubal blockage is a main reason for female infertility. Many tubal blockage sufferers are deprived of the ability of being a mother. They are tortured by this disease both physically and mentally.  Then how to help these women get out of the shadow and gain happiness? To answer this question, we should have a comprehensive understanding of this disease first.

The incidence of tubal blockage
Currently, the incidence of female infertility has been stubbornly high. And tubal blockage account for one second of its reasons.

Clinical manifestations
Infertility is the basic manifestation of tubal blockage. Patients can have normal sexual life but are difficult to get pregnant. Some patients with tubal blockage due to pelvic infection can feel slight abdominal pain and increased vaginal discharge. But for the others, they have no obvious symptoms. They even do not know that they have had this disease until they do some checkups for infertility.

Diagnosis
Clinically, tubal blockage is mainly diagnosed with HSG. With high diagnostic rate, HSG is the most commonly used diagnostic method for tubal blockage currently.

During a HSG, a dye is put in a thin tube that is put through the vagina and into the uterus. Because the uterus and the fallopian tubes are hooked together, the dye will flow into the fallopian tubes. Then the doctor will take x-rays of the pelvic area. And through the picture, the doctor can judge whether one has hydrosalpinx.

In addition to HSG, X-rays, ultrasound or laparoscopy can also be used to detect fallopian tube problems.

Treatment
Gynecological inflammationn is an important factor that causes tubal blockage. Therefore, to cure the disease, the first thing is to eliminate inflammation. The currently used drugs for gynecological inflammation can be divided into two categories: traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine.

Although western medicine takes effect quickly, the disease easily relapses after the treatment. On the contrary, TCM takes a longer time to cure the disease. However, the recurrence rate is low. Take fuyan pill for example.

Tubal blockage is mainly caused by chronic salpingitis. And in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), this is associated with blood stagnancy and damp-heat environment. The blood stagnancy blocks blood circulation, adding difficulty to the discharge of metabolism products while the damp-heat environment provides convenience for microorganisms like bacteria's multiplication. As a result, the evil substances accumulate and finally lead to tubal blockage. Therefore, for tubal blockage, the treatment should give priority to promoting blood circulation and clearing away heat and dampness.

Fuyan pill, with the effects of activating blood circulation, dissolving blood stasis, eliminating heat and dampness and removing toxic materials, follows the TCM principles in treating tubal blockage. So it can effectively cure tubal blockage. In addition, some herbs are added in fuyan pill to help recover the normal function of female reproductive system and enhance the immunity. Consequently, the disease seldom relapses if sufferers take fuyan pill to get a cure.
