Can People Get Ureaplasma Urealyticum from Kissing?

Ureaplasma urealyticum does not invade body tissues and blood, but adheres to and settles in urogenital epithelial cells. It causes cell damage through different mechanisms, such as obtaining lipids and cholesterol on cell membranes, causing membrane damage, releasing neurotoxins, phosphatases, and hydrogen peroxide.

When genitourinary tract inflammation occurs, and the mucosal surface is damaged, Ureaplasma urealyticum is easy to invade from the damaged mouth and cause genitourinary tract infection. The patient then developed symptoms of perineal distension and pain, lumbar acid, bilateral medial discomfort, and prickling sensation from perineal to medial femur. If there are no oral ulcers or other mucosal lesions and bleeding during kissing, generally, you will not be infected.

Three Major Ways of Mycoplasma Transmission

1. Sexual Contact

Chlamydia infection is a sexually transmitted disease, and with the increasing frequency of sexual life and sexual partners, the rate of Chlamydia infection in the genitourinary tract also increases.

2. Vertical Mother-to-child Transmission

Maternal and infant Chlamydia trachomatis infection can be transmitted through the obstetric tract, intrauterine infection, and puerperal infection, of which the obstetric tract contact infection is more common.

3. Indirect Contact Dissemination

It can be spread by hand, eye, towel, clothing, bathroom, toilet, and swimming pool. Therefore, the key to prevent infection is self-care and good personal hygiene.

Ureaplasma urealyticum infection is a sexually transmitted disease, so the treatment should be standardized and reasonable, according to the course of treatment and regular review to check the effect of treatment, so as to adjust the dosage of drugs or replace drugs. Sexual partners should also be treated together. Sexual life is forbidden during treatment, so as not to affect the therapeutic effect. As long as the diagnosis is precise, the medication is reasonable, and the treatment is standardized and systematic under the guidance of doctors; it can be cured.

After Ureaplasma urealyticum infection, the symptoms of urethritis can be produced after infection and can be complicated by prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, cystitis, and other diseases. Pathological changes in male sperm caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum infection lead to male infertility.

Therefore, patients can generally take herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill with heat-clearing and detoxification, diuretic effects for treatment. In order to effectively prevent the occurrence of male Mycoplasma urethritis, regular living habits, less smoking, drinking, and regular rest are recommended to avoid the aggravated conditions.
