If You Have Urinary Hesitancy After Sex, Must It Be Prostatitis?

Urinary hesitancy after sex is not necessarily prostatitis. Urinary hesitancy is one of the symptoms of prostatitis, but it cannot be directly diagnosed as prostatitis, and it needs to be combined with other symptoms and clinical examination.

Prostatitis

Urinary hesitancy is a relatively common urological symptom, which is often accompanied by frequent urination, weakness and not finishing urination. Urinary hesitancy is a symptom, and multiple diseases may cause urinary hesitancy. Common diseases, such as prostatic hyperplasia in middle-aged and older men, will increase the frequency of urination and the number of nocturnal urination in the early stage after prostatic hyperplasia.

However, as the disease progresses, there will be difficulty in urinating and slow urination. You may not be able to urinate for a long time. This is because the prostate is located at the outlet of the bladder, and the hyperplasia glands compress the bladder outlet, obstructing the bladder outlet. There will be symptoms of urinary hesitancy.

In addition, prostate cancer, bladder neck fibrosis, bladder tumor, urethral tumor, bladder stones, urethral stones, urethral stenosis, diabetes, neurogenic bladder, and other causes can cause symptoms of urinary hesitancy. There may also be urinary hesitancy in the physiological state, such as drinking less water and having less urine. It may also need to wait when urinating.

Urinary hesitancy exists in many men. If it does not affect men's urination, life, or mood, you can also not treat urinary hesitancy as a disease. However, if urinary hesitancy is accompanied by other urination symptoms, which seriously affect men's life and work, it is necessary to go to the urology department of the hospital in time for a color ultrasound, prostate fluid routine, or urodynamic examination to clarify the specific cause of urinary hesitancy.

The treatment of urinary hesitancy also needs to synthesize other symptoms. Alpha-blockers are commonly used to improve the symptoms of urination and increase the strength of urination, and the symptoms of urinary hesitancy may also be improved.

How to treat urinary hesitancy?

1. Prostatitis: For urinary hesitancy caused by prostatitis, Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, levofloxacin, and other drugs can be used for anti-inflammatory treatment.

2. Urinary tract infection: For urinary hesitancy caused by urinary tract infection, antibiotics should be used with doctors, such as levofloxacin, cefuroxime, etc. In the process of medication, the patient's liver and kidney function should be monitored to avoid damage to liver and kidney function.

3. Urinary stones: urinary hesitancy caused by small stones can promote the discharge of stones through a large amount of drinking water and strengthening exercise. If the size of the stone is relatively large, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy can be considered.

4. Prostate hyperplasia: urinary hesitancy caused by prostate hyperplasia may require doctors to take doxazosin, terazosin, and other drugs to help control the disease. Daily, you should drink more water and avoid spicy and irritating food not to stimulate and aggravate the condition.

You should pay attention to personal hygiene and change your underwear frequently. You should adjust your daily living and dietary habits. Eating spicy and stimulating raw and cold food is forbidden, and eating more fruits and vegetables that are rich in dietary fiber.

You need to live a regular life and don't stay up late. Exercise regularly to improve immunity and improve your antiviral effect. Keep a happy mood, reduce stress, and don't be overtired. In addition to drug treatment, drink more water to keep the urine volume above 2,000ml per day, which plays a role in flushing the urinary tract.
