Is transurethral microwave thermotherapy the most effective way to treat BPH?

The prostate is a compound tubuloalveolar exocrine gland of the male reproductive system in most mammals. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-cancerous condition in which prostate cells grow, enlarging the gland and causing it to squeeze the urethra. A variety of symptoms may occur, these symptoms usually are frequent urination, hesitancy of difficult start, urgency of incomplete voiding, urinate a lot at night, and so on. As these symptoms could greatly affect men’s living quality, they are longing for the most effective way to treat BPH.

Until now, the two standard treatments of BPH are medication and surgery. Usually antibiotics are used as medicine to treat it. However, antibiotics which are available for BPH are not always effective, cost hundreds of dollars per year, and may cause side effects, such as drug resistance. The surgery commonly used to treat BPH, called transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT). But is TUMT the most effective way to treat BPH at present?

Transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT) is an effective and safe procedures used in the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). During TUMT, a small microwave antenna is inserted through the tip of your penis into the tube that carries urine from your bladder (urethra). Your doctor extends the antenna until it reaches the area of the urethra surrounded by the prostate. The antenna emits a dose of microwave energy that heats up and destroys excess prostate tissue blocking urine flow.

Although medication is often administered to reduce discomfort and help patients relax during the procedure, it still could bring some other risks to the patients.
The main risks of transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT) include:
Urinary retention
Infection
Post procedural pain.
A complete inability to urinate (urinary retention).
A strong urge to urinate (overactive bladder), which can also cause leaking of urine (urge incontinence).
Irritation of the urethra and blood in the urine (though not as much as with TURP).
In a small number of cases the procedure has caused serious injuries and complications, including damage to the penis and urethra. Injuries have required urostomies, partial amputation of the penis, and other procedures.

It is obvious that TUMT is not the most effective treatment either. But except antibiotics and TUMT, there is no better treatment for BPH? Luckily, there is a magic herbal medicine, which has no side effect and is as safe as the vegetables that we eat every day. This herbal medicine is Diuretic and Anti-inflammation pill, its compositions are all made from natural herbs, every herb plays a different role in this pill. The whole formula works together to diuresis, eliminate inflammation, and detoxicate. In a word, Diuretic an anti-inflammation pill is the most effective way to treat BPH.
