How Do You Know If You Have Hematospermia?
Hematospermia is mostly a benign and self-limited disease. Its etiology is mainly related to seminal vesicle diseases, such as seminal vesiculitis, seminal vesicle tuberculosis, seminal vesicle tumor, etc.

Although, in general, there is no special relationship between hematospermia and some major diseases, sometimes hematospermia may be a manifestation of some systemic diseases or serious organic diseases.
Symptoms 1: Urinary system expansion pain
In acute cases, pain in the lower abdomen can occur, involving perineum and bilateral groin; in chronic cases, suprapubic pain can occur, accompanied by perineum discomfort. The symptoms of pain increased significantly during ejaculation.
Symptoms 2: Frequency, urgent and painful urination
The symptoms of urgent urination and urodynia are obvious in acute patients, and dysuria occurs; in chronic patients, frequent and urgent urination, accompanied by discomfort of urination and the burning sensation is obvious.

Symptom 3: Blood during ejaculation
it is manifested as the discharge of blood during ejaculation, and the semen is pink or red or with blood clots; the phenomenon is more obvious in acute cases.
Symptoms 4: Systemic symptoms
Fever, chills, and shivering may occur, which are the systemic symptoms of acute seminal vesiculitis. Hematuria is also one of the symptoms in acute conditions. Painful ejaculation, low sexual desire, spermatorrhea, and premature ejaculation are common symptoms in chronic cases.
Symptom 5: Check physical signs
A large number of red blood cells and white blood cells can be seen in the routine semen auxiliary examination. Bacteria culture in semen was positive. Blood routine examination showed that white blood cells increased significantly in acute patients.

Because some antibiotics can also discolor semen when used to treat cystitis, semen test is necessary for patients with hematospermia. Some hospitals also require patients to have a step-by-step ejaculation test, which can not only determine whether there are red blood cells and white blood cells in the semen but also preliminarily estimate the situation of accessory gonads and the source of blood semen.
For some patients, semen bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests can be carried out, and doctors can select appropriate antibiotics. Although the hematospermia caused by life-threatening diseases is rare, if there is hemospermia, we should pay attention to eliminate some more causes, such as trauma, hemorrhagic diseases, seminal vesicle prostate stones, prostate and seminal vesiculitis, prostate hypertrophy and so on. Among them, seminal vesiculitis is the most common.
For patients with seminal vesiculitis who already have drug resistance, we can take the conservative Chinese herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill. It can clear away the inflammation of the seminal vesicle gland and genitourinary tract, relieve the discomfort of the genitourinary tract.

In addition, it has the effect of anti-proliferation and anti-fibrosis. It can also effectively inhibit the hyperplasia of residual focus and recurrence. During this period, if the patient has severe hemospermia, he can also use an additional formula to stop bleeding.
At the same time of treating primary diseases, we can often eat foods with nourishing Yin, clearing away heat, promoting dampness and cooling blood to stop bleeding, such as duck meat, fresh lotus root, lotus seed, jujube, coix seed, yam, etc., and we can choose appropriate medical diet for nursing.
