What Should You Pay Attention to While Taking Herbal Medicine?
Many people will take Chinese herbal medicine when they are ill. Although the effect is good, there are many points that great attention needs to paid when taking it. Today, I will tell you what you guys need to pay attention to. And it can also serve as a good reference for patients when taking our Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill and Fuyan Pill.

1. When taking medicine, it is not appropriate to eat certain foods together, because they might reduce the curative effect or aggravate the condition. When taking traditional Chinese medicine for clearing internal heat, it is not appropriate to eat hot food such as onion, garlic, pepper, mutton, etc. When taking traditional Chinese medicine for treating "cold syndrome," raw and cold food should be prohibited. When taking these drugs, if you eat contraindicated food, the curative effect is not ideal or even has the side effect.

2. Don't drink strong tea; Tea contains tannic acid, which contains more tannic acid. Taking it together with herbal medicine will affect the absorption of effective ingredients and reduce the curative effect. Other beverages such as coffee, cola, and Sprite are not suitable to drink; drinking boiled water should be the main method.

3. Cold, sour and greasy foods should not be eaten when a cold or rash is not penetrated in children; beans and sweet potatoes should not be eaten when treating chest tightness and abdominal distension caused by Qi stagnation, because these foods are easy to cause flatulence. Others such as edema patients eat less salt; hepatitis patients avoid eating spicy, greasy.

4. Patients with asthma and allergic dermatitis should eat less chicken, sheep, pork, fish, shrimp, crab, etc. Because during asthma attacks, high-protein foods such as eggs, milk, fish, and shrimp will become warm foods to aggravate the condition.

The best time to take herbal medicine

No matter you choose to take herbal medicine before or after meals, the time interval between meals can not be too short. Otherwise, it will affect the efficacy of the medicine.

Many people take it on an empty stomach before meals or after meals. It is easy to vomit, which affects not only eating but also nutrition and drug absorption. When taking Chinese herbal medicine, we should adhere to the principle of "taking medicine when foods are digested; eating foods when the medicine is absorbed." 10 a.m., 4 p.m., and 9 p.m is the best time to take medicine because it will not affect eating or delay taking medicine. And it is more beneficial to the recovery when you have enough nutrition.
